Primarily our time is spent with our clients getting to understand the way they conduct their operations and subsequently advising them on how to be fully compliant under California's murky medical cannabis laws. Our office has worked with numerous Dispensaries throughout Northern California initially on permitting and set up. We have then continuted to work with these Dispensaries as well as others, assisting them with ongoing operational issues. Currently the majority of the cities and counties throughout the State of California are attempting to solve the regulation puzzle of how to allow for the safe and legal distribution of medical cannabis for qualified patients in their jurisdiction. This process entails setting up appropriate land use controls and vesting a city or county department with oversight responsibilities. Hallinan & Hallinan helps our clients navigate their way through the regulations while simultaneously working to educate city officials, bureaucrats, and the general public about the moderate, but grossly overexaggerated, impact of medical cannabis on their community.
